X55 the new quadruple scull

The X55 is our latest development of the quadruple scull for an average rowers’ weight of 85-100kg.

The 55 is 41cm wide in the waterline with a length of 12.45m and is very narrow compared to our previous and established quadruple sculls. The resistance values of the 55 are remarkably good in the calculation compared to other Fours. The 55 mould has a very narrow bow for fast travel at the end of the stroke when the foredeck dips deeper into the water. Due to its relatively wide, stable stern, it goes through the catch without much stomping. The first tests were very positive. The feedback confirmed that the 55 is a very agile boat. It is characterized by a noticeable acceleration through the stroke.
