X01 is a new single with a length of 8.37m and a waterline breadth of 0.28m for a rower weight 100 to 120kg and a height of the rower of 2m or larger.

In the 01, very tall and heavy rowers now sit at exactly the right height above the waterline. The 01 is the longest single in our boatyard in terms of waterline length at 8.36m and is therefore optimally stable in length for the high weight of the rower. The 01 runs stably through the catch and the finish even at very high stroke rate. Due to its shape, the 01 is significantly more stable against tipping for rowers who are taller than 2.00m like our singles 10 and 11.

This is a result of design and not a greater waterline width. The 01 is only 3mm wider in the waterline than our single 10 and 11 but dives 7mm less deep into the water. This leads to better tipping stability combined with the advantage of less forehead resistance.

The 01 is designed so that it has enough stability in wind and waves. It has significantly higher yaw stability than the 10 and 11 singles and is therefore easier to row in crosswinds.

Thanks to its newly developed shape, the 01 has no more resistance than the 10 and 11 singles, although it has the dimensions for the largest and heaviest rowers. It rounds off our portfolio perfectly.
